Wednesday 7th April, 1971

I continue north through hilly country to San Salvador de Jujuy. After chatting with the local police chief, I spend the night in their rather open bunk room and leanto. There are no walls, but it keeps me dry and sheltered from the night’s heavy rain. Before I bunk down, a local detective is instructed to photo, fingerprint, measure, and document me into a file.

Every day is higher in altitude.
